Many blocks throughout the site allow setting both background images and colors. There are some important details to note about these function:

• You must select one of the defined theme colors represented in circles under the Theme label. Selecting a color outside of the theme will not work in most cases, and this is by design to keep the website within the defined color palette
• There are instances throughout the site where the text color is automatically set to black or white depending on which background color is selected. When using a background image, it may be necessary to also select a background color to change the text to the desired color.
• A background image will always take priority over a background color. If a background image is set and you would rather use a solid background color, you must remove the image for the selected background color to be seen.

The background images should be produced using guidelines and files from The Hort's styleguide. These will need to be assembled in Photoshop using the styleguide templates then saved as a jpg or png before uploading into the Wordpress media library.
